Dr Shruti Goel is experienced in treating patients with both acute and chronic kidney issues. She looks after heart and lung transplant patients with renal problems.

Her areas of interest include:

  • general nephrology
  • acute kidney injury
  • chronic kidney disease
  • diabetic nephropathy
  • urinary tract infections
  • microscopic haematuria
  • protein urea


Biography

Dr Shruti Goel is an honorary consultant nephrologist at Harefield Hospital, where she treats private patients.

She qualified in India and undertook her specialist nephrology training at Hammersmith Hospital and The Royal London Hospital.

She was appointed as a consultant nephrologist at Hillingdon Hospital in 2014, going on to hold an honorary consultant post at Hammersmith Hospital and a visiting consultant post at Harefield Hospital.

In addition, she is the renal medicine lead at Hillingdon Hospital, clinical lead for acute kidney injury for Hillingdon Hospital NHS Trust and a member of the London Acute Kidney Injury Network (LAKIN).


Research interests

Dr Shruti Goel’s research interests are in thrombosis in diabetic patients with kidney transplants and acute kidney injury.

Teaching

Dr Shruti Goel regularly speaks at NHS training days.
