Our team of ophthalmology specialists at St Thomas’ Hospital are internationally renowned.
We take pride in the innovations at our hospital. Our Ridley Clinic was named after Sir Harold Ridley, who pioneered artificial intraocular lens implantation after cataract surgery. St Thomas’ Hospital was also the first centre in the UK where laser refractive surgery was performed.
We offer a full range of surgical and non-surgical treatments for managing vision impairment and eye diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, inflammatory eye diseases, neuro-ophthalmic diseases, vitreoretinal diseases, and diseases of the retina, cornea, eyelids and orbit.
