Dr Roy Jogiya is a consultant cardiologist specialising in preventative cardiology, general cardiology, and arrhythmias.

He can treat a range of issues, including:

  • chest pain
  • palpitations
  • breathlessness
  • atrial fibrillation
  • hypertension
  • cardiovascular risk and prevention
  • dizzy spells and blackouts

He also offers:

  • ECG and heart rhythm monitoring
  • risk factor assessment and lifestyle management
  • arrythmia diagnosis and management including pacemaker implantation and electrophysiological studies


Biography

Dr Jogiya completed his medical training at Imperial College London, he then went on to complete his cardiology training in London, and was awarded a PhD in computational cardiac imaging.

He currently leads the arrhythmia service at his NHS Trust and holds multiple national leadership roles.

He is chief medical advisor at Heart Research UK and clinical director for Cardiovascular Disease at the Health Innovation Network, driving forward service redesign and evidence-based digital innovation. He has received a National Clinical Impact Award and was recognised with the Healthcare Pioneer Award at the Houses of Parliament for his contribution to UK cardiovascular care.

 


Research

Dr Jogiya’s research focuses on cardiovascular disease prevention and arrythmia diagnosis.

He supports work on the role of cardiac imaging and pacemakers in managing patients with complex cardiac conditions.

The ongoing work aims to integrate non-invasive testing and treatment into more personalised and better outcomes for patients and care pathways. He also plays an active role in training clinicians having previously served as tutor for the Royal College of Physicians and Training Programme Director at Kingston Hospital.

Publications

With a passion for early diagnosis, patient-centred care, and service improvement, Dr Jogiya has published extensively and regularly teaches and speaks at national forums.
